Laurie Halbritter Custom Megos / Mr. Hyde

This is a modified Mr. Hyde head from a vintage kit, cast in resin. The
kit I took it from head an open mouth (he was drinking a potion). I resculpted
his mouth and gave him rotten teeth. Then I redid his ears, much of his
hair and his neck to align it with the Mego body. Though not a perfect movie
likeness, this head has a lot of great detail for painting. I used an absorbent
ground over gesso to get some of the effects. I don't usually use a gloss
varnish but I did in this instance to retain the detail and subtlety of
the color.
